Solar Power
In 2019, the holding company launched a project focused on solar energy systems. A 130 kW solar panel station was installed in Marneuli, and to this day, the environmentally friendly energy it produces is fully dedicated to supporting an agricultural project.
The development of the project is already underway within the holding. In the near future, there are plans to increase the energy output of the solar system to up to 0.5 megawatts.
Currently, the company owns 7 hydroelectric power plants and 2 solar power stations. The total capacity of the hydro plants is 126–130 megawatts, while the solar power stations generate approximately 70 megawatts. All projects are at various stages of development. One of the first, the 8-megawatt hydro plant “Kasleti 1,” is scheduled to be connected to the national energy grid in May 2025. The remaining facilities will be gradually commissioned between 2026 and 2029.
The design work is mainly carried out by a team of Italian specialists. At this stage, the company is working with a Georgian anchor investor; however, there are plans to partially replace this investor with an institutional one in the near future. According to the holding, this shift will significantly reduce the project’s financial costs.
