In 2023, a new winemaker, Ana Dokhnadze, joined the team behind “Naberauli,” a wine brand under the portfolio of IberCompany. Ana has gained her knowledge and experience in Germany, in the Rheingau region, at Geisenheim University.
Ana strives to strike a balance between tradition and innovation in order to represent “Naberauli” with dignity both in local and international markets. Her professionalism, natural approach, and commitment to preserving regional identity result in wines that not only deserve recognition but also reflect the unique spirit of the region. “Naberauli” wines are crafted from grape varieties native to Racha and Lechkhumi.
“For me, the foundation of quality wine begins in the vineyard. As a member of the ‘Naberauli’ family, I aim to contribute to the development of our vineyards. My priority is to implement smart practices in vineyard management that promote healthy vine growth and high-quality wine production.
My goal is to establish the uniqueness of the Racha-Lechkhumi terroir in premium wines by reviving endemic grape varieties. I believe that by combining traditional methods with modern technologies and applying an individual approach to each variety, we can only strengthen our winemaking culture. I want to offer wine lovers a product that represents a union of heritage and quality,” says Ana.
